Sewvivor 3: Quilted Bag Challenge Results

Fabric Depot is one of the largest, most complete, locally and independently-owned fabric stores in the country. You’ll find an array of brand name, first quality fabrics, notions and crafts in an enormous, well-maintained store. There are over 20,000 fabrics in Quilting, Bridal, Home Decor, and Fashion. Fabric Depot also carries a great selection of quilting supplies, sewing notions, books, patterns, yarns, gifts and even specialty foods! You can shop with them online too!
Visit them on Facebook and Instagram.

Our Top 10 brought their A-game this round. The voting results were so close. Every single one of these contestants should be so proud of the work they have done! It feels so wrong to do it, but alas we say goodbye to five of them.

The challenge was:

Congrats to these five contestants who will advance to Challenge #3: Hexies

Nicole from Snips Snippets
star wars bag

Jade from Stitch Mischief

Amanda from A Crafty Fox
Weekender - Amanda-9

We mourn the loss of these five whom we have grown to love. They will be very missed. But I'm not one for goodbyes... just a see ya later. Or better yet, check them all out on instagram to keep up with them and their sewing adventures!

Barbie from The Quilting Mill

Jessica from Euphoria Jessica

Angie from GnomeAngel

Chrissy from Sew Lux

Christopher from The Tattooed Quilter

Here is the breakdown from the public voting and judges. The first chart is the TOTAL votes, calculating the popular vote plus the judges vote. The second picture is just for your reference to see how the popular vote went.

And now for the Quilted Bag SewAlong winner, chosen at random (by scrolling through the hashtag on IG with my eyes closed and tapping a picture). She will win a shirt from Patchwork Threads!
Congrats: @three_owls!

If you're participating in the sew-along, upload to the Sewvivor Sew-Along Flickr group, or post on Instagram, tagging @sewvivor and @familyeverafter and use hashtags #sewvivor and #sewvivorsewalong! A "SewPrize" will be given to a random sewalong participant, announced at each Challenge Result post. The new theme for the next two weeks is: Hexies, so feel free to jump in!

  1. I'm confused... According to vote totals, Chrissy should have made it not the first bag... Am I reading it wrong?

  2. Yes, Mommy Head, I think you are looking at just the popular votes pie chart and figures. Popular votes only make up 50% of the total. The judges votes in the table above make up the other 50% and they changed the order.

  3. I lurve Fabric Depot and am lucky enough to live 4 minutes away. I grew up shopping there, thinking that's what all fabric stores were like (ie, acres big!) :D

  4. Congrats to those making it through!

  5. I agree with Mommy Head, if the first chart really does include the TOTAL votes, Chrissy should be number 5...I'm confused with these results.

  6. Looks like Nicole should actually be listed as first in the chart? ... she has the highest overall percentage.

Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!
