Sewvivor Season 3 Giveaway + Top 16 Contestants

Stay tuned for a giveaway at the bottom of this post!
Sewvivor is now on Facebook and Instagram!

Like many of you, I've been daydreaming about Sewvivor nonstop the past few weeks. It's crazy! From my end, from the moment I started planning, I couldn't quit thinking about the challenge themes, brainstorming who I'd like to have on the "tribal council," the thrill of seeking out sponsors, and of course, the anticipation of who will audition, and who will make it to the Top 16. And in all honesty, this competition makes me feel sick too-- not being able to put every one in the competition is the hardest part of running Sewvivor. That, and saying goodbye to contestants as the competition advances. It's so painful that I almost considered quitting Sewvivor! But I love Sewvivor too much to give up on it now! I try to make everything as fair as it can possibly be, but it still feels unfair when we have to pass over someone completely deserving to compete!

I just hope you'll all keep in mind that you're ALL "sewvivors" to me! To each of you who auditioned- thank you!!! I have read all the entries, and my mind is completely blown by your talent. I feel so inspired by your projects and also by your words. Many of you tried out, a little scared, but wanting to challenge yourself. That is so cool!

The most important thing to me about hosting Sewvivor is that everyone knows its meant to be FRIENDLY. I have no doubt it will be. The quilting community is quite unique and special, and even though we don't all know each other in real life, we share so much in common. I love how this competition has attracted people from all over the world. Again, my mind is blown. Thanks again to everyone for helping to promote Sewvivor, and for being excited about it.

Of course a HUGE thank you to the sponsors who make this event so attractive to contestants. The prizes are incredible, and we ALL love the the companies who are sponsoring Sewvivor!

If you didn't happen to make it in the Top 16, let me be the first to say CONGRATULATIONS! Hahaha! Now you get to sit back and enjoy watching the competition without all the stressful deadlines. And I do hope you'll sew along with the themes and share on Flickr and/or Instagram (#sewvivor and #sewvivorsewalong).

To those who have made in into the Top 16, CONGRATULATIONS to you too! I hope you're up for this! I'll be contacting you with further details this evening.
Ok, here we go.
DRUMROLL PLEASE....

Once again, thank to the "Tribal Council." Their job was pretty much impossible. Here's how it worked: They made their picks based on skill, technique, difficulty, creativity, presentation, or stories and inspiration gleaned from the projects. Each judge chose her top 2 favorite, and those 10 automatically made it into the competition. Then they cast their next 5 favorite. I tallied those up, and the remaining spots went them.
Be sure to follow each of these ladies... they are quilting gurus!

I have been running around my apartment screaming and jumping for the past 5 minutes! My kids joined me and I'm sure my neighbors are wondering what all the noise is about. Thank you so much to Rachel and the judges for giving me this opportunity! You seriously don't know how much this means to me! Thanks you! Thank you! Thank you!
