  8. My favorite handmade gift was from my mother for my first daughter in 1989. It was a beautiful little dress, bonnet, and bloomers made from the sweetest, little lilac rosebud material. She worked on it at night after she worked all day and it was beautiful. She gave it to me at Christmas. My daughter never wore it though and all I have left is a picture. When the wrapping paper was all gathered up to go out to the burn barrel later that day, her little dress was accidentally gathered up too. To this day I go through all the wrapping paper multiple times before it goes to the trash. My mom is gone now but that picture of her and I hugging and holding that sweet, little dress warms my heart every time I look at it :)

  15. My favorite handmade gift was a blanket that my mom made for my son..... it was a large adult size blanket so I may or may not have stolen it and used it myself. Needless to say she was forced to make a second one because yes, I was the mom that stole her kids blanket! :)

  17. My favorite handmade item was a tiny dress for my daughter, I did not have a machine so it was all hand sewn and decorated. Now at the age of 58 I would love to have a machine and the money to buy all that lovely fabric. Thanks for the chance.
