Paint Your Own Room virtually with Olympic Paint!

On the main floor of my house, all the walls are white. Not only are they white, but they are smudged and need a paint job. I have been putting it off, because well, painting is a big job! And a big investment. I frequently pester my husband and solicit my friend's opinions, on what color I should paint the walls. They will be happy that I can quit bugging them, cuz I just discovered the coolest website!

It's called ColorClix, from Olympic Paint. With it, you can upload a picture of your room, and then see what it would look like with a new paint color. I am so excited about this!!! My 4 year old daughter and I just spent the last half hour playing around with it, "painting" her room purple, turquoise, and all sorts of wild colors :)

The website was really easy to use. Basically, you upload a picture, watch the tutorial on how to "tape" off the walls, prep everything, then choose a color, and voila!

Living Room
I made it a nice, calm taupe color. I loved it.
I tried a pretty pear color.

Next, I tried my hallway. This area has me stumped. I have no idea what colors would look the best, but this trial was super helpful! I love the feature on the website where you can separate the walls and ceilings.
Once you've chosen the colors you'd like to play around with, just drag them onto the wall.

Office Space

Daughter's bedroom (it's still a work in progress).
I used the website to see what the dresser would look like white, haha!
We tried turquoise. It kinda clashed with the green and pink color scheme, but that it what is fun about the website. You can see what your dreams and visions will look like, with no monetary investment!

Here is a little more about the features of the website:
- Paint Your Own Room allows the user to upload a photo of their room and preview it painted in any of the 1,200 Olympic Paint colors.
- Paint Your Own Room
lets you be your own color genius.
The ColorClix suite is a cross-platform collection of color tools allowing consumers to discover new colors anytime, anywhere – on a mobile phone, on a desktop computer or online. From initial color inspiration to final product selection and purchase, ColorClix tools digitize the paint-purchasing process from beginning to end.

One of my very best friends in the whole world, Ashley from Mommy by Day Crafter by Night, and I are hosting a quilt-a-long on our blogs this June. We will each be making a different type of quilt, and posting the tutorials every Wednesday in June. So if you're up for it, we'd love to have you make a quilt of your own and join the fun!
