Wedding-Inspired Headband with French Netting

Do you know what French Netting is? It's this gorgeous lacy stuff and I've always wanted to use it in a project (you can find it here). My blogging friend, Rebecca from My Girlish Whims, recently got married, and asked me to do a guest post on her blog. I'm so happy for her! My own wedding was the best day of my life!! So I decided I'd make myself a wedding-inspired headband, to wear whenever I feel like it! Here it is:

Here's the tutorial in pictures!

(I bought my headband here, and the French Netting here).

You can make this however you want, with any number and arrangement of flowers, and any embellishments. My embellishments are pearls and scrapbooking brads (I cut the brad part off with wire cutters).
(And... I always find an excuse for added French flair with that fleur de lis).

Ta-Da!

I love weddings. My special man and I have been married for 8 years. This was the happiest day of my life. :)

So lovely project. I love it!
Before my wedding I have tryed every kind of head accessories and it was dissapointing a little bit, that I can't wear all of them an the same time :)
(At the end my florist made me a floral hairpin matching with my bouquet.)

So charming and very vintage in appeal-I can picture those flowers on a pillow or a mini pillow that you attach all your pins too. You make a beautiful couple and I am curious about melting edges of ribbon? Or putting wax around edges? I am very new @ crafting and it wasn't clear to me redtrucktravels@hotmail.com And please not the robot thing it is so annoying

jmmonroe said...

One more question I am sorry is that lace or a dolly you added redtrucktravels@hotmail.com Oh and you've been pinned!!!
