Guest Posting at I Heart Naptime, and New Blog Design!

Today I am excited about 3 things...

1. It's a big honor to be guest posting for my first time on I♥Naptime!
I'm showing you how to sew my handy nursing shawl.

2. I'm giving one away! Visit {here} to enter. Make sure you "follow" my blog first!

3. I have a brand spanking new blog design, created by Jamie at The Letter 4.
There are still a few tweaks being made over the next week or two, so please excuse any slight changes!

Here's the story of how my blog design came to be....(in case you're curious). I had seen this gorgeous red-haired girl all over blogland, doing fun hair tutorials. I had to check it out. Upon visiting the blog, I fell in love with everything about it! It's such a pretty, cheerful, happy place. These 4 girls are sisters, and they each have such unique talents. Anyway, I saw their $4 advertising special. I've never sponsored anyone's blog, but I thought that was an awesome deal, so I gave it a shot. Then I found out that this month, they would be willing to design a free button for their sponsors. Well, its pretty much history after that. I told Jamie my ideas, she bounced some back to me, and our ideas just clicked. We've had tons of inspiration on how we could work the whole story book/ writing theme into "Family Ever After." I have to say here, that I loved my previous design, and The Fairy Blogmother was awesome to work with. But because I'm the kind of person who likes to run with a good idea once I have one, we had to keep going with this one. Between Jamie's brilliant talents and ideas and mine, this was such a fun project to work on! I love how the typewriter keys, the ink splotches, the Table of Contents, the typewriter, they all kind fit together into one story.

My very favorite part is this typewriter. Would you believe that Jamie drew this by hand? Isn't she amazing?

So I just wanted to let you all know how awesome Jamie is. It was so much fun to work with her. I think we laughed at each other through the computer screen a few times, she's pretty darn funny. She was so fast at getting things designed and installed. So not only is she a genius at graphics and design, but their entire blog is full of recipes, crafts, printables, photography, fashion, oh its so pretty. Go check it out!

  9. Nice job! Love the typewriter and letters in the background. Just so you know it's very hard to read your "motto" under the typewriter. Other than that, looks great. ;)
